Scout is powered by Atlas Engine, a discovery layer that surfaces public programs, local help resources, and official sources. Atlas-powered results may include reviewed, official, user-submitted, or unverified items. Always check source status before relying on a listing.
What the labels mean
- Official source — published by a verified government or institutional source.
- Source reviewed — a human has checked the source link recently.
- Needs review — surfaced by Atlas, not yet reviewed.
- Source needed — the program is known but the canonical source is missing.
- Demo / sample — seeded data, not a live result.
- Last updated — when Atlas last refreshed the record.
AI & automated assistance
Some Scout experiences may use AI or automated systems to summarize, rank, classify, or recommend resources. AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete or wrong. Important decisions (medical, legal, financial, safety) should be verified with an official source. Scout does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
Privacy choices & data rights
Scout collects only what it needs to surface useful local resources. Analytics is optional and does not receive raw search text, uploaded content, or precise location. To request data access, correction, deletion, export, or suppression:
Connector status
The live Atlas API connector is scaffolded but not yet live. Results you see today are demo records labeled Demo / sample. We do not call data “real-time” unless a live connector is verified.
Tell us what's wrong
If a resource is outdated, mislocated, or has a broken link, use “Not relevant” on the card. To suggest a missing resource, use Nominate a resource.
